Blaise Petitpierre and Sylvain Aubry (UNIL and FOAG) have presented COUSIN results to the Swiss Commission for Cultivated Plants (CPC/SKEK) on 6th November 2025 in Lyss, Switzerland.

The CPC is responsible for the conservation and sustainable use of cultivated plants in Switzerland. Their yearly congress concentrated this year on Crop Wild Relatives.
COUSIN partners have presented the ongoing work for establishing a curated European checklist that feed into ex situ and in situ conservations measures. A friendly atmosphere gathered many experts, CWRs fans, organisations and partners of the CPC that are already using CWRs in their breeding and farming activities, like Agroscope, Pro Specie Rara, Hortus officinarum and GZPK.
Felix Jähne (GZPK, a COUSIN partner) presented advances and challenges in breeding wheat CWR.
