Crop Wild Relatives are wild species closely related to cultivated crops and rich in valuable genetic traits. These traits can be transferred to crops through pre-breeding, or wild species can be domesticated into new crops. This second video explains how studying the wild relatives of crops is essential for improving today’s crops and developing resilient crops for the future.
